Hi, tadpoles!

So. You’ve read our three-part, Soup to Nuts series on getting your self-hosted WordPress blog up and running from scratch. Your blog is indeed up and running. Great content, a swish eFrog theme, your analytics are going crazy. You post regularly, but you often have ideas for a quick post while you’re in a coffee shop, or at a meetup, or a sports event, or something that has you away from your desk, and your computer. But…You always have a mobile device with you, be it a smartphone or tablet, that has a camera, video camera and internet access built in, and you’re feeling like you should be able to blog on the go, right?

Well, you can. The good news is, that the clever folks at WordPress have a complete range of mobile applications available, that make it possible, in fact ridiculously simple, to stay connected to your blog from practically anywhere!

It gets better! Not only can you post from anywhere, but you can edit posts and pages, and also reply to and manage comments. Some clients, like Android, even have support for comment notifications! Not that’s REALLY keeping your finger on the pulse of your blog!

BONUS HOT TIP FOR OLDER PHONES If you have a WordPress.com blog, even if you don’t have a phone that can use one of the clients discussed here, but you CAN access the web, remember there’s always the mobile web interface at m.wordpress.com. It features a very light and speedy version of the admin dashboard, and works great on older phones!
